Castlemaine State Festival 2019

I admire Australian painters. I went to Australia for the first time at the age of 30. There I interacted with many animals and people of various races. At that time I decided to have a painting exhibition in Melbourne in the future. After returning to Japan, I worked hard on painting again. And six years after my first trip, my wish came true.

I stayed in Bendigo, a suburb of Melbourne, for two months. I had surgery for tongue cancer before traveling, so I returned to Japan for examination. I went to Melbourne again and completed the exhibition. I was physically exhausted, but the Australian staff and nature kindly welcomed me and helped me.
